Windows 8 Task Manager : Check out what’s gets added and Removed
You will find enhancements in Process,Performance,Users Tab where as Networking tab has been removed and 3 more tabs has been introduced in windows 8….. App History,Startup and Details.
Application Tab has added as Introductory Tab, when you open windows 8 Task Manager and click on more details, you will able to see all other Tabs
In Processes tab, grouping functionally has been introduced, Group by Applications, Background Processes, windows Processes, In bracket numbers shows the related processes running. 2 More column has Introduced which shows disk and network utilization for the respective process.
Interesting feature is color scheme, more the usage more the dark color, you will observe that color shades will be change upon changing the resources usage.
In windows 7 we can only view the performance of CPU and Memory, In windows 8 Disk Performance has also been added in Performance Tab. On top of you directly get to know CPU name, Speed Logical and Physical processer count and virtualization is enabled or disabled. Small summary has been added of all resources . Where as didn’t find any changes in resource monitor, it seems to be same as windows 7
In Users Tab, 2 More column has Introduced which shows disk and network utilization for the respective user.
No Changes in services Tab
3 more tab has been introduced in windows 8 App History,Startup and Details. App History shows the resource usage by modern application, Startup is very much self explanatory,
Seems Description has been removed from Process tab which is same part in windows 7 and added to Details tab in windows 8
Overall Windows 8 Task manager seems powerful than windows 7 task manager.
